“I joined the workforce at age 17, worked for 2 years then travelled. On my return I started in an admin data entry role working my way to team leader within a 2 year period. Disestablished from this role, I declined the new position and was offered a fixed term within HR as the Change Management Advisor – and had no idea what that meant! this move gave birth to my passion for HR and my entry into university as an adult student. In 2007 I started my new role as mother to daughter Sophie-lee, and having built a solid foundation of generalist HR skills and specialist capabilities in change management, conflict resolution and personnel support, I decided it was time to go out on my own.
In 2014 Navigate HR was established. Having freelanced and consulted under our parent company it was time to get my own brand of HR out there.
My philosophy is that HR practices are an enabler rather than a disabler and is founded on understanding people in order to understand the challenges. In other words HR is not just about compliance, its about people. Offering a no “BS” approach I deliver a style of people and culture support that is approachable, understandable and down to earth.
Operating as your business partner, I will work with you in overcoming barriers faced by small businesses today.
